Challenge
We were approached by a reliable supplier with a project where the factory was unable to produce the requested roll specifications and did not meet the end customer's packaging requirements. The factory wanted to be able to deliver this and brought us into contact with the end customer to find a solution.
Our approach
Thanks to our modern machinery and recent investments, we were able to meet the needs of the end customer. We made sure that the requested specifications and packaging requirements were complied with. As an extension from the factory to the customer, we offered both production capacity and packaging solutions.
Results
We have achieved the following benefits for the customer:
- Customized production: Rolls in various widths, accurate to the mm, with 1,500 linear meters per roll and produced on plastic tubes.
- Short delivery times: Schaafsma maintains a stock of semi-finished products, so we can always deliver on time.
- Individual packaging: Each end roll is individually packaged in a plastic bag and provided with a product label with all relevant information.
- Packaging for safe delivery: The rolls are packed on a euro pallet and then on a plastic pallet to ensure that they arrive clean for medical applications.
- Reliable deliveries: Every 3 weeks, we deliver a full trailer on a fixed day.
